Prosperity Opens a New Community Lending Office in Downtown Atlanta, GA

Atlanta, Georgia: On February 15th, Prosperity Home Mortgage opened a new community lending office at 229 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 680, Atlanta, GA 30303 to service the Greater Metro Atlanta community.

Justin Messer, President, and CEO welcomed community partners to the opening celebration. Those in attendance included representatives from the National Association of Real Estate Brokers® (NAREB), Atlanta Empire Board of Realtist, National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America (NAMMBA), D&E, A Housing & Economic Empowerment Center, Inc., NID Housing Counseling Agency, Freddie Mac, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties, Harry Norman Realtors, and Weichert Realtors.

“I’m convinced that access to financial education has to be a big part of any plan to close the minority homeownership and generational wealth gap,” Messer said. “Our goal is to make the community lending office a success by partnering with national and community organizations. They will play a vital role in our outreach efforts by co-hosting HomeBuyer events, workshops, and counseling sessions.”

April Alexander, VP, National Community Development & Outreach at Prosperity, added, “Today we open our doors and welcome the community to our downtown Atlanta location. The new space is home to our team of Atlanta based community lending mortgage consultants, Keisha Harris and Gerald Lee, and their support staff. We are also actively looking to hire a few more experienced loan officers to grow the team.”

Messer took the opportunity to announce the launch of Prosperity’s new HomeBuyer Boost program, a Special Purpose Credit Program, providing up to $5,000 of lender credits to eligible borrowers. The launch is an expansion of the home affordability programs and other support Prosperity already provides to underserved communities across the country.

The office space is purpose-built for in-person meetings and has conferencing technology to enable virtual meetings as well. Shared conference room space is also available by appointment. In addition to Peachtree Street NE, Prosperity has community lending locations in downtown Philadelphia, PA; Largo, MD; South Dallas, TX; Jacksonville, FL; and Chicago, IL.
