At Prosperity, we have a lot of feel-good stories about getting borrowers into their dream homes. In honor of Veteran’s Day, we want to share this special story and give recognition to our Texas team that helped make a Veteran’s dream of getting into a new home, a reality.
Texas Mortgage Consultant, Jason Suber (NMLSR ID: 1502193), first met his borrower in February 2020, a disabled veteran and single father to a child with special needs, in need of a new home. After receiving some bad news in June 2021, Jason’s borrower was denied a loan with another lender, and Jason got to work to make sure he could get the job done for his new borrower. Jason started getting in contact with the right people, calling offices, and checking with his fantastic team of mortgage professionals to get everything sorted and situated.
With the help of our amazing mortgage team, Jason was able to get this veteran into his new home, making it affordable and possible with our VA Home Loan Advantage program. After all their hard work and determination to see the loan through, Jason had this to say: “This is why we are a great team here in Texas. All it took was imagination and true, genuine care for the borrower’s needs and the deal closed. How cool is this?”
Since launching our VA Home Loan Advantage Program in 2014, PHM has saved active-duty military members and veterans over $20 million in origination fees and appraisal credits. As a full-service mortgage banker, we have funded over $4.8 billion and closed 13,280 VA home loans.
At Prosperity Home Mortgage, LLC, we believe in supporting the brave men and women who serve our country in the military,” said Tim Wilson, President and CEO of Prosperity. “That’s why we are delighted to help lower the upfront cost of buying or refinancing a home for service members and veterans using a VA home loan.”
The VA Home Loan Advantage program continues to be offered to all Prosperity clients purchasing or refinancing a home using a VA loan. The program waives the standard origination fee and provides eligible clients with a lender credit to pay for the cost of a home appraisal.1
Special thanks to the following team members who were able to make this possible:Sales Coordinator Ladonna Trujillo, Loan Setup Dawn Silva, Processor Danny Valenzuela, Underwriter Jackie Hickey-Debes, Closers Erika Herkert and Chandra Whitehead, Loan Funder Jake Hickey, Valuation Specialist Yadira Katsikes, Senior Administrative Assistant Mindy Lipman, Capital Markets Analyst Jeff Lanning, and Prosperity Express & Texas Area Operations Manager Betsy Sproat.
Way to go Jason and team! We are so incredibly proud of your hard work and dedication, thank you!
